It is found in virtually all body cells. The body can produce L-glutathione itself in the liver from glutamic acid, glycine, and cysteine.

With VITARAONE's Glutathione Capsules, you receive reduced and high-dose L-glutathione in enteric-coated capsules. The L-glutathione is also protected by ascorbic acid (vitamin C).
Reduced glutathione oxidizes very quickly because it is highly reactive. On the one hand, this is desirable, but on the other, it should only occur in the body's cells, not on the way there. Therefore, ascorbic acid is added to L-glutathione. It acts as an antioxidant and protects the L-glutathione on its way into the body's cells.
The addition of ascorbic acid to L-glutathione capsules preserves the reduced, bioactive form. Bioavailability is thus significantly increased compared to conventional products.
Only with reduced L-glutathione do you get truly active glutathione. Reduced glutathione is also known as GSH. The inactive form, however, is oxidized glutathione (GSSG). This L-glutathione is already "used up," and you can no longer benefit from its properties.
